Oroos | Packaged Cake Brand in India | Fireside Ventures Bakery Startup

About Oroos

Oroos Confectionery is a rapidly growing brand in the packaged food industry in India and is currently being considered as a bakery business. In order to reach customers outside of metro areas, in tier-two, tier-three cities, and in rural areas, the brand is aiming to become a “India2Consumer brand.

Oroos primarily operates in the packaged cake brand category in India — that is, ready-to-eat cakes that consumers can enjoy immediately or take home to relish later. In this way, Oroos falls under the bakery startup segment.
The brand has announced plans to establish its manufacturing unit in North India, particularly in Uttar Pradesh, where the ODOP (One District One Product) initiative promotes regional production. Thus, the Oroos model aligns well with the vision of ODOP Uttar Pradesh manufacturing.

Oroos has stated that they are setting up a 40,000-square-foot production unit in Greater Noida, making it look like a “Greater Noida bakery factory.
In addition, the brand’s distribution network will expand to tier-2 and tier-3 cities—25,000 general trade outlets have been targeted.

Oroos Confectionery has raised around ₹20 crore in an investment round, with Fireside Ventures being the lead investor.

This investment shows that the brand is not just a simple bakery startup but is also being considered important from an industry/investment point of view-especially from the perspective of “Make in India Food Startup.
